SportsAid is a charity that financially supports talented young athletes to help them to achieve sporting success. Within the sport of equestrian, SportsAid has supported riders prior to Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Awards usually vary between £500 and £1,000 and athletes tend to spend their grant on competition entries, travel costs, training and specialist sport science support, such as veterinary, physiotherapy and farriery. A SportsAid award is based on a Member Body’s recommendation of an athlete’s potential to progress through the talent pathway and all nominees are submitted by British Equestrian.
