Discover the Power of Horses for All

Horses have an incredible ability to inspire, empower, and bring people together. Across the country, equestrian centres are dedicated to making horses accessible to everyone, offering opportunities to build confidence, develop social skills, pursue a career, or simply experience the joy of being with horses.

These centres are vital spaces that show how equestrianism can be inclusive, welcoming, and transformative for everyone.

Meet one of Park Lane Stables’ passionate young equestrians.

Having an easily accessible centre has helped him stay involved after he fell in love with horses, “When I started, I really loved the connection that you can build with a horse.”

He began his equestrian journey just two years ago, but the incredible community at Park Lane Stables already feels like a family.

Meet Georgina,

Her mission? To make horses accessible to everyone, especially those who might not have the chance otherwise. She works with participants from day one, all the way through to mastering advanced riding skills or even stepping into a career.

At Summerfield Stables, everyone—riders, volunteers, and staff—gets access to training and opportunities to grow.

Meet Martina, a volunteer and coach at Park Lane Stables RDA.

She has built strong connections with the horses and developed her skills and passion for helping people.

From building confidence in participants, to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community, Martina demonstrates the transformative power of equestrianism and the importance of volunteers in our community.

Meet two inspiring participants from Park Lane Stables RDA who are neurodivergent and thriving!

For those living with autism, the world can sometimes feel isolating, but horses provide a unique connection. They don’t judge or expect, they simply listen and understand.

Through spending time with these gentle animals, Park Lane's young equestrians have grown in confidence, found calm, and learned more about themselves and others around them.

Meet Aisha, the young talent who's forging her way into a career with horses, thanks to the support and encouragement of the team at Summerfield Stables.

Her love of horses started early and she knew that working with them was the route she wanted to take, so she used volunteering opportunities to help towards training and qualifications.

There's no looking back for her now and she wants to see everyone giving horses a go!

Meet Akbar, who moved to Britain from his native Pakistan to pursue his dream of working with animals and becoming a vet.

Through volunteering at Summerfield Stables as part of his college course, he’s…

  • discovered the equestrian community and riding
  • able to network and socialise with other equine professionals
  • gaining vital experience
  • becoming more confident
  • improving his skillset

All of which will help with his future career path.
