British Eventing and Showjumping teams selected for FEI Nations Cup legs in Avenches and Hickstead

British Eventing and British Showjumping have announced their selected teams, following an invitation the compete in the FEI Nations Cup legs in Avenches and Hickstead.

EVENTING

The team selected to represent Great Britain at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup in Avenches (SUI) between 20-23 July is as follows:

  • David Doel from Chippenham, Wiltshire with the 11 year-old grey mare Captain Tiger Tilly owned by Jos Houben.
  • Cerys McCauley from Cheadle, Cheshire with the 15 year-old bay gelding  Drumconnick Cavalier owned by Richard Coney.
  • Phoebe Locke from Bridgewater, Somerset with the 11 year-old British bred bay mare Chanson du Village owned by Christopher Baker.
  • Hector Payne from Andover, Hants with the 15-year-old grey gelding Dynasty owned by Jeremy & Judith Skinner and David & Margie Hall.

The team will be accompanied by Chef d’Equipe Philip Searle.

JUMPING

The team selected to represent Great Britain in the FEI Showjumping Nations Cup of Hickstead (GBR) - the 'home' leg - between 26-30 July is as follows:

  • Harry Charles from Hampshire, with the 13-year-old bay gelding Casquo Blue, owned by Stall Zet.
  • Tim Gredley from Suffolk, with the 11-year-old bay gelding Medoc De Toxandria, owned by Unex Competition Yard Ltd.
  • Ben Maher MBE from Hertfordshire, with the 14-year-old bay gelding Exit Remo, jointly owned by Charlotte Rossetter and Pamela Wright.
  • Donald Whitaker from South Yorkshire, with the 12-year-old bay stallion Di Caprio, owned by Reitsportanlage Dagobertshausen GmbH & CO.KG.
  • John Whitaker MBE from West Yorkshire, with the 15-year-old bay gelding Equine America Unick de Francport, jointly owned by Clare Whitaker and John Whitaker.

The Chef d’Équipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday, 28 July at 14:15 BST, while the Grand Prix will be on Sunday, 30 July at 14:15 BST.
