Release of new Strategic Plans focusing on Good Employment

Tuesday, 06 December 2022

Following a successful Good Employment Week, the British Grooms Association (BGA) and the Equestrian Employers Association (EEA) have launched new Strategic Plans for 2023- 2027.

The new Strategic Plans set out their commitment to move the equestrian industry to a place where only Good Employment is delivered and acceptable.

“Stable staff perform a critical role in the success of an equestrian yard and the welfare of the horse. We wish for all grooms to only ever work in professional, caring, viable businesses where the legalities are adhered to, and their wellbeing is paramount,” says Chairman of the BGA and EEA, Chris Hewlett.

Chris continues, “Our revised EEA Strategy focuses on helping employers to achieve and maintain the best standards and to promote best practice as the only acceptable norm. in our equestrian industry.

Our new Vision and Mission sets the tone of our plans for the future. We will continue to advocate, educate on and support Good Employment, as we positively believe that this is the only way to sustain the workforce of our industry.”

The BGA and the EEA work together to achieve their vision as it requires collaboration to bring about change. Both organisations strive to be EPIC by delivering upon their values:

E – Excellence
P – Professionalism
I  – Integrity
C – Communication

By the end of 2027 the BGA and EEA expects the equestrian industry to be a place of only Good Employment.
