Following the outcome of the General Election, Government focus is on securing the passage of the Withdrawal Agreement, which will mean that the UK leaves the EU on 31 January 2020. If this Agreement is passed, there will be a transition period until 31 December 2020, during which time all horse movements will stay the same as they were in 2019.
During the transition period, the UK's trading relationship with the EU will remain the same, while the UK and EU negotiate a free trade deal. Detailed aspects of the UK's future relationship with the EU will be decided during these talks. Information about what will happen from 1 January 2020 if a trade deal is agreed can be found here, and updates will be posted regularly.
