The Nations Cup Series 2022 will conclude with the Nations Cup Final at Carrer General Batet in Barcelona, taking place from 29 September until 2 October, where the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ champions will be crowned. The following squad has been selected to represent Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team NAF:
Lily Attwood from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, with the 12-year-old bay gelding Cor-Leon VD Vlierbeek Z, owned by Emmy Freeman-Attwood.
Jodie Hall McAteer from Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, with 13-year-old chestnut gelding Salt’n Peppa, owned by Mandy Hall.
Joe Stockdale from Roade in Northamptonshire with the 11-year-old bay mare Equine America Cacharel, owned by Joy Cocklin and Laura Stockdale.
Ellen Whitaker from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, with 10-year-old black mare Equine America Spacecake, owned by Tilly Shaw.
William Whitaker from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire with 12 year old grey gelding Galtur, owned by Philip Tuckwell.
The FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final consists of three competitions. Each team competes in two of the three Competitions. All three Competitions are conducted at a maximum height of 1.60 m.
Round one will commence at 13:00 on Thursday 29 September, which all teams will take part in, with four athletes per team. The teams placed ninth and below will jump the second competition, The Challenge Cup, which will take place on Saturday 1 October at 13:00. The top eight teams from round one will proceed to the all-important Nations Cup Final, held on Sunday 2 October at 14:00.
The highest team according to the final classification of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final, excluding teams already qualified, will qualify for Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Great Britain picked up their qualification last month at the World Championships in Herning.
The Grand Prix competition, the Cup of the City of Barcelona, will get underway on Friday evening at 20:00 where riders will go head-to-head to claim their share of the €96,000 prize pot.
