The first true day of competition at the 75th edition of the MARS Badminton Horse Trials dawned bright and sunny. Following yesterday’s horse inspection, a total of 35 combinations were due to ride their dressage tests before the judging panel of Jane Hamlin (USA) at H, Sandy Phillips (GBR) at C and Christian Steiner (AUT) at B, in what is arguably one of the most open fields that the event has seen in recent years.
