CEO Appointment at horsescotland

horsescotland is delighted to announce that Lucy Barclay-Carr has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive.

Lucy has been involved in the equestrian world all her life, participating in breeding, showing, British Showjumping and British Dressage, competing at various levels over the years but more recently returning to the competitive world within British Dressage at grass roots level with her home bred youngster.

Lucy has a wide range of experiences starting her career within the NHS as an Advanced Practitioner before moving into the commercial world working within major blue-chip organisations. With a proven track record in founding and growing successful businesses, she brings a wealth of skills across the commercial world with various qualifications within HR, Finance, GDPR, Auditing, Business strategy planning, leadership, people development and operational management promoting an open, diverse, and inclusive environment.

“I am very excited to be given the opportunity to work collaboratively within the equestrian world across all disciplines and alongside the variety of stakeholders, leading the fantastic team at horsescotland to promote, support, connect and empower the Scottish equestrian community to be a leading inclusive and diverse nation for successful horse sports and activities.”

Lucy will formally start her role on 1st July 2023.
