Endurance GB announces definite entries for FEI World Championships 2023

Endurance GB hasconfirmed the horse and rider combinations chosen by the selection committee who will compete at the FEI Endurance World Championships in 2023, set to be held in Bouthib, United Arab Emirates in February.

Selected entries to represent Great Britain in alphabetical order by athlete surname:

Linda Cowperthwaite with Evelyn Helme’s Krakatau (chestnut, gelding, Arab, 12yrs, Sisyrinchium x Psyches Spirit, Breeder: The Hon F B Guinness)

James Dickinson with Magdy (chestnut, gelding, Arab, 12yrs)

Rebecca Pinder, based in Spain, with Oso Irazu (grey, gelding, Arab, 12yrs)

Nicki Thorne with Kamilcia (bay, mare, Polish Malopolska, 13yrs, Maciwode x Korsarz, Breeder: Aleksander Brzozowski)

Carmine Villani with Bayla D’Alluech (grey, mare, Arab, 11yrs, Nourkhan x Piruet, Breeder: Jean-luc Sauvayre)

Chef D’Equipe for the team will be Fiona Bloom, “I am delighted we are able to send a full team for the championships, we will not underestimate the challenges, but it is a privilege to be alongside the experienced combinations and management team.”

Team Veterinary will be Georgina Vaughan, “I am excited to be working with an experienced team of horses and riders and I am looking forward to helping them prepare to the best of their abilities for the challenge ahead.”

The experience of both Fiona and Georgina in the world of endurance will help them provide the best support to the team, keeping both the horses and the riders performance-fit throughout the competition.
