Upcoming FEI Nations Cup action for showjumping and eventing

British Eventing and British Showjumping have a number of riders in FEI Nations Cup action over the coming weeks – here’s the lowdown on who’ll be flying the flag where and when, and how to follow the action.

FEI Jumping Division 1 Nations CupTM – Falsterbo, Sweden – 14–17 July

Great Britain’s third and penultimate leg of the Longines FEI Jumping Division 1 Nations Cups™ will be held at Falsterbo (SWE) between 13–17 July at Falsterbo Arena in Clemensagervägen. The following squad has been selected to represent Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team NAF:

  • Amy Inglis, from West Sussex, with Claire Inglis’ 14-year-old chestnut mare Wishes
  • Ellen Whitaker, from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, with Tilly Shaw’s 10-year-old grey mare Equine America Spacecake
  • Jessica Mendoza, from Horsham in West Sussex, with her own 10-year-old chestnut gelding Play
  • Jodie Hall McAteer, from Borehamwood in Hertfordshire with Mandy Hall’s 13-year-old chestnut gelding Salt’n Peppa
  • Joe Stockdale, from Roade in Northamptonshire, with Joy Cocklin and Laura Stockdale’s 11-year-old bay mare Equine America Cacharel

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday 15 July at 13:00 BST with the team being drawn third to go. The Grand Prix will be on Sunday 17 July at 13:00 BST. The Chef d’Equipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

FEI Jumping Division 1 Nations CupTM – Hickstead, Great Britain – 27–31 July

Great Britain’s fourth and final leg of the Longines FEI Jumping Division 1 Nations Cups™ will be held at on home turf at The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead between 27 -31 July. The following squad have been selected to represent Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team NAF.

  • Ben Maher, from Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire, with Oakingham Stud’s 12-year-old bay stallion Faltic HB
  • Ellen Whitaker, from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, with Tilly Shaw’s 10-year-old grey mare Equine America Spacecake
  • Harry Charles, from Alton in Hampshire, with Stal Zet’s 12-year-old bay gelding Casquo Blue
  • Jodie Hall McAteer, from Borehamwood in Hertfordshire with Mandy Hall’s 13-year-old chestnut gelding Salt’n Peppa
  • John Whitaker, from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, with his own and wife Clare Whitaker’s 14-year-old bay gelding Equine America Unick Du Francport

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday 29 July at 14:15 BST, and the Grand Prix will be on Sunday 31 July at 14:15 BST. The Chef d’Equipe for Team NAF will be Di Lampard.

 FEI Eventing Nations CupTM – Haras du Pin, France – 11–14 August

It’ll be Britain’s first appearance back in the series after sitting out Strzegom and Avanches . The following squad has been selected to represent Great Britain in the fifth leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup at Le Pin au Haras in France from 11-14 August:

  • Kirsty Chabert from Wiltshire with John Johnston and Carole Somers’ 13-year-old mare Classic VI
  • David Doel from Wiltshire with Gillian Jonas’ 11-year-old gelding Galileo Nieuwmoed
  • Wills Oakden from Perthshire with Bridget Mazdon and Frances Hay-Smith’s 10-year-old gelding A Class Cooley
  • Mollie Summerland from Wiltshire with her own 13-year-old gelding Charly Van Ter Heiden

The Chef d’Equipe for the team will be Philip Surl.

 FEI Eventing Nations CupTM – Arville, Belgium 18–21 August

The following squad has been selected to represent Great Britain in the sixth chapter of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup at Arville in Belgium from 18-21 August:

  • Phoebe Locke from Somerset with John Dean and her own 11-year-old gelding Bellagio Declyange
  • Emily King from Clwyd with Philippe Brivois’ 13-year-old gelding Valmy Biats, supported by the Event Horse Owners Syndicate.
  • Imogen Murray from Leicestershire with Kim Pengelly, Fran Reeve and MS Team’s 14-year-old mare Roheryn Ruby
  • Kylie Roddy from Buckinghamshire with Anne and Colin Fox’s 12-year-old gelding SRS Kan Do

The Chef d’Equipe for the team will be Philip Surl.
